The Lawrite Managed HR service

Lawrite Managed HR is a pro-active, professional employment law and HR support service for UK employers, which provides document drafting and an enhanced level of legal advice and support from solicitors.

We will provide ready-to-use contracts of employment, staff handbooks and other required HR documents for your business, after assessing your specific requirements.

If you already have contracts or policies in place we will review your documents, workplace practices and procedures and update or redraft them. After that we can keep your documents updated for you when there are changes required by law or business development.

We can provide a legal expenses insurance policy that covers:

  • Defence of legal proceedings arising from employment disputes;
  • Employment awards (at an Employment Tribunal);
  • Defence of health and safety criminal prosecutions;
  • Tax enquiries and disputes;
  • Jury service;
  • Disputes with landlords;
  • Debt recovery.

There is cover of up to £100,000 per claim, (up to £500,000 per year).

Lawrite HR clients can get an enhanced level of legal and HR support compared with the Employment Law and Employment Law Plus services, starting with access to our legal advice line, which is operated by Lawrite Solicitors.

Additionally, you can have access to your named Lawrite HR advisor by telephone and email, and the service can optionally also include on-site support.

We can advise you about disciplinary and grievance hearings, performance review procedures, bonus schemes, redundancy or re-structuring, recruitment strategy and many other HR issues.

Training of senior staff and managers to effectively deal with issues such as disciplinary and grievance procedures and discrimination policies is also something we can do.

Additional work on the health and safety side can be included as part of Managed HR, with either remote or on-site reviews arranged.

News and information, a detailed employment law manual and HR guidance, a library of template letters and forms are all supplied to clients via our employment law software with built-in web updating.

Normally when we talk to you about your requirements a package will be agreed to include the level of support that fits to your business and budget requirements.

You will pay a fixed annual cost for the service.

Should further legal support outside the agreed package subsequently be required, this can be provided very competitively on a pay-as-you-go basis.

The service is renewable after 12 months, when it can be reviewed, and it is Lawrite policy not to tie clients into multi-year agreements.
